GDPR & Swiss FADP
Echo is operated by BioQuant IQ GmbH (also operating as BioQuant IQ LLC), Baselmattweg 135, 4123 Allschwil, Switzerland. We process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). This page summarises your rights and how we meet our obligations; full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
1. Legal bases
We rely on: performance of a contract (providing Echo to customer organisations); legitimate interests (responding to enquiries, securing and improving the service); and consent (analytics cookies, which you can withdraw at any time via the cookie banner).
2. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data rectified;
- have your data erased;
- restrict or object to processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- not be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects (Article 22 GDPR);
- withdraw consent at any time; and
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Echo is a development tool: scores are not used to make automated hiring, promotion or termination decisions. Human judgement stays in the loop.
3. How to exercise them
Email letustalk@bioquantiq.ch. We respond within one month, as required by the GDPR.
4. Analytics & cookies
We use Plausible Analytics, which is cookieless and privacy-friendly, and it runs only after you choose “Accept analytics”. Your choice is remembered in your browser. See our Cookie Policy.
5. International transfers
Echo is hosted within Switzerland and the EEA. Where any transfer outside these regions occurs, we rely on recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. Supervisory authorities
In Switzerland: the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). In the EU: your local data-protection authority.
